YBR Annual Meeting Re-cap

Here's what went down at Camp Thompson on 4/12/09:

Intros/team overview – welcome to Camp T, YBR's been around since 2000, we're a YMCA program, suggest 3 races/year and volunteering at at least one event, all ages/abilities are welcome.

2008 review: Z’s Y-Riders, Thursday Ironmasters TT, Iron Cross VI, Adopt-A-Highway, New Frontiers bikes for YMCA day camp, Brett & Donna hosted PA MTB Summit and host Wed night MTB rides, sizable grant to YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign.

2009 what's on tap: Ironmasters TT series (has begun!), Josh’s Sneaky Speed Wednesdays, Karen’s interval Fridays, Adopt-A-Highway work day in Apr/May, Iron Cross Lite 10/10/09 and Iron Cross VII 10/11/09, YBR blog.

Speakers

Chris – team by-laws, financials, officer and executive committee elections.

Officers for 2009 will be Brett, Chris, and Mark.

Executive committee will be officers plus Karen, Paul, Sarah, and Uncle Don.

Dr. Kirsten "Trashy" Guss will be YBR's 2009 Adopt-A-Highway Coordinator...All Hail Kirsten!

Financials

YBR is in good shape, financially.

Proposed expenditures for 2009 - espoir grants, New Frontiers (and possibly, Camp T) bikes, chunk of kit price, donation to YMCA for Strong Kids/youth-specific equipment needs.

Other

Discussed adding a unique MTB racing event to the YBR calendar.
